Bio

Emma Michalak is an LA-based writer, filmmaker, and actor. She's currently the writers' assistant on Season 2 and Season 3 of NCIS: HAWAI'I, and was previously the writers' assistant on the Hulu series RODHAM, during which she also assisted showrunner Sarah Treem under her overall deal. Emma worked in the room on Apple's HEDY LAMARR limited, and provided extensive research work on Alma Har'el's upcoming LADY IN THE LAKE, as well as multiple additional projects development at Apple, FX, and HBO. Prior to moving to LA, she earned an MA in Classical Acting at LAMDA in London. Her first short, FLESH AND IRON, premiered at the 2017 BlackStar Film Festival, where it won Best Youth Film. Her most recent short film, THE TALK, premiered at the 2023 Pan African Film Festival. Emma is originally from Chicago, IL and attended Princeton University, where she majored in Comparative Literature with a certificate in Creative Writing.
